ME: Hey, I just saw our friend WhoseNameICanNeverRememberForMoreThanFiveMinutes.

LOCAL: Woah! It’s been so long since I’ve seen her! How was she?

M: She seemed fine. I dunno. To be honest, she’s kind of hard to understand.

L: Why?

M: Well, she always talks to me like I’m a baby. You know, like, [makes Japanese baby-talk noises]. I’m like, yo, I’m foreign, not 3.

L: Oh, that. No, no, no, don’t worry. She’s not talking to you like a baby.

M: Seriously, I’m not making this up. She definitely is talking like a baby.

L: I mean she’s not talking to you like a baby. That’s just the way she talks. She talks like a baby.

M: What? Wait, you mean all the time?’

L: Yes. She’s just a person who talks like a baby.

M: Oh. Um, okay.

  3. the new woman who makes the morning anouncements in the town hall talks like a baby and the first day of April I was shocked but nobody else flinched when the baby told everyone about the days meetings. it seems like talking like a baby is just ACCEPTED here. it’s just wrong.

  10. I have this cousin – and she’s seriously hot. She was head cheerleader, and a model, then she married a doctor, then got divorced and is dating a rockstar….but she freaking talks like a baby and its the strangest thing! I just figured she got away with it cuz she was hott. But I had no idea other people did this too.
