Please Do Not Attempt to Step to My Japanese Rock Band
My homestay has been an awesome mishmash of spontaneous English questions, exclamations and commands. They just pop out of my hosts mouths apropos of nothing. I love it.
Some samples:
“Do you like Pippi Longstalkings?”
“Eminem is so crazy!”
“Car. Lake. Let’s go!”
That last one came at around 5:30 this morning. So it was back off for a morning walk around Lake Ezu.

My host mom and I wandered around the lake, while my host sister trailed with the dog. We passed absurdly healthy groups of senior citizens exercising in groups.
I find it very difficult to tell how old anyone is here. Everyone’s so dang fit.
Later in the day, Team Silence returned to guide me once more. They’re awesome.

They make for great bike tour guides.

And they do talk a little bit more each time we meet.

Though we always seem to end up at the mall…

...shopping for accessories.
