NYC: A Quick Stop in Brooklyn · 9 August 06

Finishing up a quick trip home, and Wednesday’s my last night in America for a long while.

I’ve got no cell phone, but if anyone in NYC wants to say hello, I’m meeting a couple friends in Williamsburg at …

8:30pm Black Betty
(Middle Eastern-type food, drinks)
366 Metropolitan Ave (at Havemeyer)
[L Trian to Lorimer]

Then on to…
11pm Barcade
388 Union Avenue
Brooklyn, New York, 11211

Come play if you’re free.

  1. You make me sad, with all your not-coming-to-my-house and all.

  2. Byzek, I hear a welcome back to NC is in order. How’s it back on eastern time?

  3. I know, I know. Man, I’m still getting used to this whole living in other countries thing. You’d think I’d be better at scheduling my visits to friends and all.

Ah, well. Last night in the country, no time for regrets yet.

  4. Yeah, Kevin and I had a bitter toast to Saleem and Dan’s “oh-hey-how-are-you” casualness on the one measly night we got to see them… But yeah, that’s fodder for tomorrow’s discussions. Have fun tonight, Saleem. For real. Not bitter. Nope. :-)

  5. Yeah. Rock the Casbah with dumps like a truck, truck, truck because The Roof is on Fire and It’s Getting Hot in Herrrre.

The time for regret, it is later.

  6. I should also point out that I’m a tad disappointed that the photographic chronicles of my wild misadventures in the land of white porcelain weren’t preserved for posterity.

  7. Tis a shame. You could have posted them on ratemypoo.com.

If you you cats wanted to see Saleem more often you should have hung out at the driving range. That is where I ran into him, after his family beach outing.

  8. Maggie (who takes time out from making national news with her blog to hang out with her friends) and I almost drove to the beach at 2 am to drag you suckers out of bed to talk to us. Though I can’t really talk. I have been accused multiple times of sneaking in and out of far flung cities without saying hi to the friends who live there… My apologies to Jen, Maggie, Jeff, Keith, Dan, McLaurin, Heather and Cory.

  9. Don’t apologize to me, I was too hungover to hang out after the reunion.

  10. Andy, indeed, receives zero pity.

Kevin, Mags, HLove, and Balls all receive bonus points.

  11. I’m ok w/ that. Honestly, I’m too old to go out drinking like I did anyway.
    andy    2000 days ago    #

  12. I’ve been there, my man. I feel your pain.

    You receive some pity.

  13. Thanks
Now that you’re back we need to get a drink.
