Videos: 5 Eggs and a Rather Large Whale · 5 November 06

CLARIFYING UPDATE: Just so those who don’t know me know, I don’t actually act like the characters in either of these videos.

Two very different videos today, both done with Jason Ho. Just playing with writing kinds of different characters, scenes, etc. :

5 eggs: A concept of Jason’s which I fear will make you wish to punch me through your monitor (Very, very, mildly PG, sorry mom):

5 Eggs on Vimeo

Or watch it on myspace video here .

We also have…

The Whale: A very, very, short short that I wrote and Jason director-magicified. In which, unfortunately, my character says a slightly bad word.

Or on YouTube here .

(Sorry again, Mom, will wash mouth thoroughly with soap tonight. Alone. In my apartment. Which will be pretty weird.)

SPECIAL BONUS MESSAGE (just for you):
Dear reader, were you to see any of the above in another short, what would you like it to be about? And which of the above vids did you like better? Hate them both? Please inform.

  1. Hmmm…I really don’t know what to say…I liked your t-shirt in 5 Eggs though.

  2. hmmmm, don’t really get the humor! Is it japanese?
    Whack!

  3. Eggs need bacon.

  4. 5 Eggs, definitely. It’s essential to understand the use of rock-scissors-paper to decide nearly everything in Japan, though. But, you were MEAN! ~ which is obviously American humor.

  5. 5 eggs takes the nomination. I do like the bruce lee stare on the poster frame for The Whale.

  6. um—can i change my vote? There is a continuity flaw in 5 Eggs. Minute 4:00 Saleem has an egg in his right hand. At 4:01, when the camera angle changes, the egg is gone. I don’t think the academy will look favorably.

  7. The Whale, totally. Major points for “Dude, socks ARE real” as the best line ever filmed.
    maggie    772 days ago    #

  8. MICHAEL: That shirts the real deal, one of the Ol’ Boy’s official softball team jerseys. Connections=Good fun.
And indirect point noted, thanks :)

ELA: I love it when Albanians say ‘whack!’ You are awesome.

ONIKA: Not in sort-of-half-Muslim houses they don’t.

MARUCHAN: I swear, I’m really not like this in person. Please don’t fear me.

AYMAN: Vote change noted and welcome.

    MAGGIE: Aw, thanks.
