1:44 am. Had a wacky night at a karaoke bar with these kids…

Overall: You might think orientation speeches in Japan would be exactly the same as orientation speeches in the U.S. You’d be painfully right on, brotherman. Our program’s current day-long seminars are killing me, I want to be out there in Tokyo.

Right now it’s like Freshman Camp, Japan U. A couple thousand twenty-somethings collecting paper and brimming with sexual energy. Spent the night listening to crazy Brits and Aussies flirt and whisper about picking each other up. Good times.

We’re in an insular world of English speakers here. It’s like we’re on a cruise, just passing by the exotic waving masses.

Or in Japanworld at Epcot center.

It’s fun, but I’m ready for the real deal.
