The Child Who Would Not Die · 1 January 05

Kumamoto New Year’s Plan:
1) You go to the temple. 2) You make a wish. 3) You receive a paper fortune. 4) You tie it to a tree.

Not Snow, But Fortunes

5) You are happy.

BUT, one Large Question: What should you wish for?

As always, we here at kidethnic.com turn to The Children
(TM) for the answer:

The Child Who Dreams Biggest Dies Last

(spotted at last year’s Brooklyn Cherry Blossom Festival)

Tristan, I have no idea who or where you are, but I truly hope you get your wish.

You go, boy. You get that immortality.

The world needs more big dreamers like you.

  1. Okay, I am not kidding about this. I have a student named Tristan, and he has very similar handwriting. I can so see him wishing for immortality. I’ll ask him if he is one and the same Tristan when we get back to school.

  2. Ferg: Awesome. If it was him, ask him if he got his wish. Though I’m not sure how one knows that one is immortal.
I can only think of tests that could prove that one is not immortal, and these, unfortunately, involve dying.

Sidenote: I’m in India right now, and uploading pictures isn’t so easy. Rest assured, freshness is on the way.

    Your friend,
